Landing successfully! Blue Ghost prepares for mission to bring "humans" back to the moon

The 6-foot-tall Blue Ghost rover touched down on the moon at 2:34 a.m. US time on Sunday (March 2). The landing is a major success for NASA and private companies, who hope the expedition will be the starting point for preparing for a future human return to the moon under the Artemis program. Firefly CEO Jason Kim said the Blue Ghost rover landed near Mons Latreille, an ancient volcano on the eastern side of the moon near the equator. The area was chosen to avoid magnetic field problems that could affect data collection from the rover's instruments.
